Overview:
Troops from {MOB} and those from BHC found themselves facing off against each other in the Tuchola Forest on April 29, 2006.  At stake was the firm grip on the northwestern portion of Poland.  The area is strategically important for both sides so fighting was expected to be fierce.  It proved to be so.  Each side had three bases they needed to defend while trying to drive the enemy out of their own entrenched bases.

ROUND 1:
BHC forces were split into three separate forces to fight this battle.  The Defense team was led by Sgt. CrossTrain while the assault team was divided into two units.  The Assault/Armored team was led by Pfc. LuckyStrikes and the Assault/Scout team was led by Cpl. DeathBringer.

With the opening salvo from the big guns just moments old, it became clear to the BHC side that the enemy had our bases already well-coordinated as they began an immediate pounding of the thick concrete structures. There was nothing to do but to watch as shells from PAK guns and heavy tanks came screaming across a mile of open ground to pound them.  The defenses at our #2 base (led by Sgt. CrossTrain) and our #3 base (led by Cpl. Choad) had no reported sightings of enemy armor but soon those bases were reduced to rubble anyway.  Spc. Savage, leading the defense at #1 reported minimal armor sightings which were easily repulsed.  Meanwhile the Assault teams found the way to be extremely difficult.  Many BHC tanks were cut down by enemy scouts who remained well hidden until the tanks moved past them.  Only then did they step out and spring an ambush.  All three of the primary river crossings were well guarded and passage beyond them was very difficult and quite hazardous.

Back at the home bases, enemy infantry overwhelmed a weakened defense and were able to destroy the #2 and the #3 bases in pretty short order.  All defensive units were now contracted into a tight circle around the #1 base.  Pv2. fReAk was released from his defensive assignment so he could join the assault at this point and he reported that he and 1Lt. SmokinJoe were able to make it to the enemy #1 base and take down a few enemy as well as to damage the base before being driven back.  There followed some ferocious fighting at the #1 base as the MOB tried an all out assault through the Allied spawn, up the middle, and through the South Road.  With some gallant and courageous fighting done by all members of the Defense team and many members of the Assault team, the enemy was driven back with great losses.  During this ferocious defense of the final Allied base, many members of the Armored Aasault team dismounted and joined the Scouts on the ground and destroyed a very hard pressing enemy armor assault along the South Road.  BHC came together again at a critical time to prevent total collapse at the final base.  After more futile fighting on foot and in heavy armor, both sides withdrew from the field with no decisive victory for either side.

ROUND 2:
After a short rest, the two sides found themselves facing off again.  This time the BHC side were able to inflict a bit more damage to the bases of {MOB} --- and fend off the assault of the MOB side a bit more effectively as well.

After a brief time of rest both sides went at it again.  This time it appeared that the tactics of the MOB side changed some as they were not able to put any long-range shells on our bases.  Our attack started up the North Road with armor and scouts moving more or less together.  The objective was to make an initial assault on the #3 base of the enemy.  1Lt. SmokinJoe reports that resistance was relatively light until the armor column crossed the North bridge.  At that point they experienced pretty fierce resistance, primarily in the form of infantry with anti-tank weapons.  Enemy infantry also covered the retreat of their own armor by popping smoke between the two armor columns.  After heavy fighting the armor column was beaten back.  For the remainder of the fight the tank attacks varied in location with Sfc. Striker, 1Lt. SmokinJoe, and armor commander Pfc. LuckyStrikes making numerous forays through the farm up the middle.

Meanwhile, the BHC defense was stiff despite some pretty strong assaults.  This time it was the BHC side that found some range on the enemy bases as Spc. Savage and Spc. Sloth (who were tasked with defending our #1 base) did big damage to the enemy #1 with tank and PAK gun fire.  Meanwhile Sgt. CrossTrain found the enemy #2 and reduced it to rubble with the big gun of his Panzer IV.  Eventually the enemy was able to reduce two of our bases to rubble as well.  However, despite some strong pushes and advances, they were never able to plant at either base.  They did penetrate the bases at least three times but fierce hand to hand and demolition expertise by Pv2 fReAk, Cpl. Choad, and Rec. Cotton prevented a single plant completion from happening.  Once again, Spc. Savage did a fine job preventing our #1 base from being infiltrated.  He did this through his own and Spc. Sloth's extraordinary defensive role but also by calling in help from other defensive teams --- all of whom responded timely and efficiently.

Up ahead at the enemy side of the map, the scouts were able to put a deep scare into the defending force from {MOB}.  In consecutive action, first Sgt. SatansDragon was able to get a plant off on the R1 base.  However, he was overwhelmed by force shortly thereafter and the plant defused.  Shortly after this, Cpl. DeathBringer and Pfc. poortwistedme made their way into the same base and with twisted providing cover, the Corporal was able to successfully plant the fuse once again.  In short order they were overpowered by armor and five infantry men.  An awesome job was done by the Armor and the scouts to push all the way up the South Road to achieve these plants.

In the end, the match ended in the same stalemate as the first round with neither side achieving total victory.  This time however, BHC was able to defend and protect all three bases and put relatively consistent pressure on the enemy bases.  It was a battle well fought by both sides.
